1) honest- didn’t try to get around building permit
2) Knowledgeable- knew about California State regulations for roofing

Top Line Roofing receives all 5 stars. In all stages of the project they were superb. Work done May 2011.
We got to them through a recommendation of a realtor, after receiving several offers to replace the roof that were either very expensive or seem unreliable.
Starting with the proposal: the owner, Wayne, came at the time we requested. Immediately took measurements and within minutes we received a professional bounded folder with our customized offer – the guy has an office in his car. Price was somewhat lower than comparative (good reputation) proposals, so we accepted their proposal.
We picked up the date we wanted. They first sent a large teardown team, subcontractor they supervised. Then their own team of two guys, a very capable top guy and an assistant, worked on the roof for 3 days. They brought in subcontractors for the gutters and painting.
Their work is fully guaranteed by GAF, which provides the material and 25 year full warranty for materials and labor, so we are protected even if something ever happens to Top Line Roofing (we wish them long life and success). Materials have a lifetime warranty only once, within 10 years of work. GAF will let the roof stand after completion of work for two months, then they run an inspection to ensure the quality and issue the warranty.
Bottom line – very good experience, recommendations to pass on.

This is written to offer to the San Diego Community my recommendations of this company’s services. I am an attorney involved solely in the construction industry (23 years) and I have a keen appreciation of customer service and quality workmanship.
Mr. Sorensen’s company was professional from the bidding phase through contracting phase. Honestly, their clean-up after the demolition and at the end of the job left my residence better off than when they arrived.
In terms of billing, they were never “ahead” of the percentage completed. The final work product was exemplary, especially considering the material being installed was not “routine.”
Overall, this is one of those contracting companies that the industry should be proud of. I can enthusiastically refer them based upon my experience.
